He doesn't just put his hand there, he pushes off. He pushes on offense. He pushes on defense. It's never called. It's maddening.

What is sad is that the flopping never will happen in a pickup game, and really players do a pretty good job of calling their own fouls. The peer pressure keeps you in line for the most part.

I know. Barea's got some skills, but it's ridiculous that he can throw his head into someone's back and when they back him down he can throw his head back like he just got hit with an uppercut from Mike Tyson's punch out. That isn't basketball. Damon Stoudamire didn't have to resort to that.

Simple solution: Next time someone posts Barea up and he tries leaning in with his face, spin hard with an elbow extended and track his damn head off! Take the potential flagrant and happily move on, knowing the defense will be softer next time down. And you might even be able to argue it isn't deserving of a flagrant, given that it's nor your fault his head is where your elbows are supposed to be.

Yeah, that's a foul too. One arm is allowed, but only if it is the forearm, and not the hand. Barea is fouling on every post-up, though, and there is no way the NBA can deny it.

For sure. Just knock the guy on his ass real hard next time he goes in the lane on offense to send a message, or else, do what you said -- knock his head off and have him stop playing D with his face. He is real annoying in a Sasha Vujacic-kind of way.

The two calls I'm shocked that haven't been called is the hand-checking Dirk has done on LMA all series. As you all have said, it's one of those obviously fouls that has no gray area.

On the other hand, LMA has been swiping away the arm of Dirk and Chandler a lot and hasn't been called for it, despite Chandlers plea for the call, every game. My guess is they know they're letting the original hand-check go, so they can't really call LMA for swiping it away. However, the defender loses all balance when that hand is swiped away and its a major advantage.

Tyson Chandler sets moving picks all night, every night. They call about every 5th one.

I've noticed that a lot this series- that Mavs players are putting two hands in the backs of Blazer players and giving shoves. Just enough to take them out of the play. They're very good at it. But it's still a foul.

As to Barea, the answer is simple. Post him up; keep two hands on the ball with elbows extended, turn hard and hit him square in the jaw, then flop all over. About the 3rd time he takes one to the jaw, he'll back down.
