Nate is a defensive coach right? right? It won't even matter if they come back, this Nate Coached team is so soft physicaly and mentally. 0% chance they get a road win. Once again nothing will change until this guy goes. Blazers are the only team in the playoffs that don't realize that this is a street fight.
Yep. This team has a lot of problems. Can't defend. Can't score. Won't rebound. Aren't mentally tough. Aren't athletic. Don't hustle. Tough to win games in ANY league with those issues.
Enough with the Injuries excuse! Nate has made millions with that excuse year after year. Every team has Injuries. And who in the hell is injured besides Oden that would play? No one, They are healthy. They have been DOMINATED in this series except for 1 game and a 4h quarter. DOMINATED WITH A BETTER LINEUP!.
I think its time to look at a youth movement. Miller and Camby's age have visibly caught up with them and their big expiring contracts can be valuable this year. Brandon can hopefully be waived with an amnesty clause. And honestly, even with his extension, it might be time to look at moving on from Nate. Einstein defined insanity as failing at the same thing over and over yet continually expecting different results. That's how I view this franchise right now. It feels like hamsters on a wheel. It's pretty clear that this thing isn't working.
Sorry, the Drexler/Porter/Kersey days were not like these. Nor were the Pippen/Arvydas/Steve Smith days.

First 3 games? How about first 3 years in the playoffs. This coach simply does not know how to guard a simple pick and roll. year one it was the scrub Von Wafer killing us then it was Jason Richardson and then this year it was Terry and Kidd. NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL NATE GOES
Yep, definitely boils down to defense and 3PT shooting. It seems like every gain we make, we lose something somewhere else. Never thought I'd say I missed Outlaw and Blake in a way, but I kind of did. Could have used them. Dallas is just too good at jumpshooting.
We were beaten by a more talented team. Plain and simple. On the injury front, We have a healthy Greg and Brandon we win. Blazer fans can't keep using this excuse, but it is a reality. I think we need to move on and just expect them to never be at full strength as players. But, if you tell me at the start of training camp that we would not have Greg all year and basically not have Brandon either, trade Bayless and Martell for NOTHING in return..... I would have never guessed that we win 45+ games....... make the playoffs and push a 55+ win Dallas team to 6 games. I am proud of this team and what they accomplished this season.
We had both of those players and home court vs. Houston and were blown out 3 times including at home Last year it was a 4/5 match up. Blown out 2 or 3 times including at home. This year 6/3 lost a home game were blown out once and could have been twice if not for the ghost of Brandon Roy. 11 year. 1 series victory. You can;t keep telling me what a great coach he is and then make excuses for him every single year. All he ever and been is a maybe. can't understand the love affair with him at all. Never will.
We were NOT beaten by a more talented team! That is for dam sure. The majority of the country picked us to win this series just based on that fact. Almost all the experts picked us to win this series based on this fact. We lost because of the same reason we have losed the passed 3 years. NATE. It's really that simple. But I don't expect you to say that seeing how you are getting paid by the team and forced to be a homer like Rice and Barrett. I prolly would to if they were signing my checks. Get a coach that can please guard the pick and roll.
The one series Nate won had Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis playing out-of-their-minds. It wasn't the coach's talent that got the win.
