Wrong. Last year Phoenix was the 3rd seed and the Blazers with the 6th seed. And, Brandon Roy was injured and totally useless in the playoffs last year. I was highly critical of Nate's coaching last year against Phoenix. I thought he was totally outcoached by Alvin Gentry. So, I'm not in total disagreement with your general argument, but unless you can get your basic facts straight, it makes it very difficult to take your opinions seriously. BNM
This series would have been 4-1 if it weren't for that miracle comeback. Cho has A LOT of work to do.
I would like to keep Nate but somebody needs to come in and teach this team fundamentals; they do not jump out properly on pick and roll defense, they do not set good screens, they do not pay attention to little details like putting the pass exactly into the hands where a player can go up quickly for a jump shot (something Dana Altman focuses on). They do not seem to know when it is absolutely necessary to help on defense (like when a guy 4 inches taller has pushed back into the post) and they do not seem to know who should be helping in that situation.
And you want to keep Nate cause why? Cause he can't teach things you just listed? which you learn in high school?
Einstein didn't say that. I know, you've read that he did. That false attribution began only about 3 years ago. I first noticed the saying itself only about 20-30 years ago.
There's no such thing as a "healthy Brandon Roy and Greg Oden." That word does not go with either of those players.
Slight correction.... The Bayless trade was instrumental in completing the Wallace trade. I wouldn't say that we traded him for nothing.... Otherwise - spot on.
Because I think he is a good overall manager, good motivator, and he has shown he is willing to change and adapt (even though slowly). Ha ha, maybe I've had too many goodbyes in my life and I don't want to say goodbye to Nate. I also believe in redemption, I want to give him a chance to redeem himself.
if memory serves, 3 of 7 of the ESPN's "experts" picked Portland... technically you are correct that this is almost all thats a fact too STOMP
I couldn't care less if take me seriously. I think you're a bit of a tit. Anyway, thank you for helping me make my point.
The Nate extension looks more puzzling by the day. This team is so deeply flawed, I don't even have the energy to itemize it anymore. Despite this, the extension is a strong indication that the Blazers intend to stand pat for the forseeable future. It's a sad time to be a Blazer fan.
If we are the more talented team, why did Dallas win what, 12 more games then us during the regular season..... WITHOUT Caron Butler. Why am I a homer? I have a positive take on things and actually thought we would lose this series in 6. Why so much anger and why continue to call me out for working for the team, as if it was a bad thing.
Good point, I still said we would lose in 6. How many more W's do you think we would have had if Gerald was with us all year, just curious.
