Well everyone knows the Hawks could have had Paul. Let's look past that to the second round of the 04' draft. They could have had Duhon but instead took Ivey one pick ahead of him. Duhon would have been great for them, he could have been their starter, but actually play more than 15mpg. Also that year they took Donta Smith, not that they need another wing, but they could have had Ariza with that pick if they wanted a wing player. At the time I'm sure their second round picks didn't seem like a big deal, but looking back it sure would change things.Duhon/LueJohnson/ChildressSmith/ArizaHarrington/WilliamsPachulia/BatistaSeems like a small tweak to make but obviously looks like a much better team. And please I don't wanna hear it about Williams on the depth chart as a 4.
Yes that would have been maybe 12 games better. Still, Duhon can't start for Atlanta. He's an improvement, but he's still a backup.Pistons could have had Chris Bosh (Better fitting in Detroit than Wade or Melo) and Josh Howard in the 03 draft, but we got Carlos Delfino and Darko.
We could have had Gilbert Arenas, but instead we took Kedrick Brown. Brown was out of the league by age 25 due to lack of work ethic, no jumper, and getting fat. Arenas? You know the rest. But, I do think Atlanta should take Randy Foye at #5. Shelden will be a good player for a long time, but Atlanta needs a guard badly. I agree with Jay Bilas completely, Sheldne won't be bad for Atlanta, but they already passed on Paul and this team needs a guard more than anything. Randy Foye SHOULD be their man, but I believe this Shelden Williams promise.
