I honestly think he becomes a Net, HOWEVER, if the Lakers really want him, who do they trade?

If Bynum, would need to trade another piece. Possibly Ebanks+Blake? This way, the Magic get a young guy with great potential, and we can find yet ANOTHER backup for Fish (barring his retirement).

If Gasol, we can have a frontcourt of Bynum and Howard. We would, however, lose versatility and a spread-the-floor big that Pau gives us. This may be the best defensive frontcourt in the league, but it loses a little bit on the offensive end.

If Odom, we'd probably have to give up 3+ players as well. Bynum would become our 6th man.

Obviously, the Bynum trade is most likely. This sort of trade would keep the Lakers relevant. However, it'd still be nice to get a PG that makes the team younger (Rodney Stuckey? Aaron Brooks?)

If ever we do this, id like to see Bynum go... Dude simply gets injured too much and that uncertainty is welcome to be traded anytime especially for an all star. Hopefully Mitch manages to waive his wand so we could acquire a solid pg this time around.

I would trade Bynum for Howard in a heartbeat. The Magic still have him under contract for another year so a lot can happen to change his mind and teams to position themselves for him.

With a 1st Round exit the Dwight Howard rumors are kicking in gear again.

Those close to Howard insist it's not in his character to go the LeBron route, promise to deliver a championship and then leave town. Howard also is sensitive to the way Shaquille O'Neal departed Orlando in free agency in a move that left the Magic with nothing in return.

It's also not in Howard's nature, some say, to do it Carmelo's way and allow trade speculation to derail a team's season. Those factors would seem to make leaving Orlando almost impossible for Howard. Key word: almost. There's also a side of Howard that envies the national attention Derrick Rose got this season. And he is attracted to the bright lights and global exposure that would come with a professional residence in Los Angeles or New York.

"It's nothing against LeBron or Carmelo, but to me, I think Dwight's a pretty loyal guy," said Hawks forward Josh Powell, who has been close with Howard since their childhood in Atlanta. "I know he's hurting right now. He's been with that team since day one. I would assume and expect he would stay there. But it's tough on him to see them get as close as they got two years ago and then fall back."

After watching the Hornet series would you trade Gasol or Bynum for Howard?

As a business man, yes. As a fan, no. I'm not a fan of Dwight and think he's so limited offensively compared to Drew's offensive game.

If I could guarantee Drew's health throughout his prime, I wouldn't trade him at all for anybody in the league.

I'd trade Bynum in a heartbeat. You can't guarantee Bynum's knees will hold up.

Dwight, however, is the best (and most important) defensive player in the league, not to mention he's got that Karl Malone iron-man health.

I'd trade Gasol in a heart beat for a top level PG or Dwight.

Would you trade Gasol for Steph Curry?

I was gonna say Deron Williams, but New Jersey wouldn't be stupid enough to do that.

Mamba is right, Dwight is really limited offensively. But, in the Lakers system I think he could improve and get similar looks under the basket the same way Shaq did in the triangle offense. Once Dwight has the ball in there its hard to stop him, but the same thing could be said for Bynum really.

I would trade Gasol for him without even thinking about it, but then I think the offense would suffer because we would have two players, Bynum and Dwight, who are both centers and both score the same way. It wouldn't work. As bad as Gasol has played this series, id still hang on to him until we were able to swap him for a top point guard or a PF who can score well on jump shots and short drives. A player with Amare style of play and skill. Gasol can be that player, but obviously it comes with a few weaknesses.

But it was our perimeter defense that let us down this series against the hornets, above anything else. Paul had it all too easy out there and he exploited it. Fisher needs to be benched, that is without a doubt, but it cant be done until we replace him with someone who will get the job done better then he has. The only time Paul had it tough was game 6 when we decided to toughen up on him, and it proved to work as he had a bad game. fisher cant consistently play tough defense because it isn't in him, he's still fit, but has no lateral quickness and was never a defensively focused player to begin with.

replace fisher with a competent point guard first, then see how the team fairs.

I look for Dwight to be moved. Not sure when, maybe this summer, maybe not.

Magic regressed with the trade they made this season.

He really likes the lakers, similar to Anthony liking the Knicks
