Not sure why it would matter how far ZBO gets exactly. Because he was a former Blazer that was traded to the Knicks? This is nearly as bad as whining about players we didn't draft.

Get indicted on some trumped up federal dogfighting issue that would be bigger than Michael Vicks 3. Never get to the playoffs 4. Is a cancer that will never help a team Those were, I believe, the justifications for trading him for shit. That he was a ticking time bomb before he would get all "gangsta" on us.
I think No. 1 was more of a "hasn't shown that he can learn anything in 8 years other than being a ball-hogging, bad-shot-taking black hole on offense" No. 2 turned out to be "investigated by the feds on drugs", not dogfighting. I don't think anyone thought he couldn't ride Oden, LMA and Roy's coattails to a playoff, so I think #3 is a sort of strawman. No. 4 was more than just the fans, unless you think that that avowed racist B. Roy was afraid of him "going gangsta"
