Now I just saw a picture with the new Spiderman film, and Spiderman had a black suit on. Now I know about Venom, but this wasn't him. This was Spiderman, just with a dark suit on. Whats up with that? Can someone explain this phenomenon to me?
Well, basically the suit is an alien symbiote. I'm sure that doesn't help any, so let me explain. If you have taken biology, think of some of the relationships between animals. Like a bird picking bugs off of an elephant. A clownfish being protected by anemones, etc. This is pretty much how the black suit and spiderman interact. The suit is incredibly strong, but essentially evil. The suit itself IS Venom. It's just that the true Venom that we think of is the suit worn by Eddie Brock (a coworker of Parker's and looney man). He aquired it after Spiderman rid himself of it, as he realized it was evil. I hope that doesn't spoil anything for you, but it's not like it isn't public knowledge already.
I do not follow Harry Potter, but I think I know what you're asking. The suit requires a host to really do anything, yes. Carnage is the same way, except Carnage was much crazier and its host was a serial killer. Here's a good page if you have any more questions.
It's some kind of darkness that is taking over him. I just found the teaser of Spiderman 3. It shows him in the black suit and stuff.http://youtube.com/watch?v=Bz34y3gWjr4&search=spiderman%203
