Two years ago Telfair was a reach at the 11th pick and now he's worth the 7th pick? Blazers now have #4 and #7 pick, wow.</div>First off, Telfair was the 13th pick, not 11th, and that was not the whole trade. Boston also did this to have a better cap situation. Theo Ratliff's contract comes off the books a year sooner than Raef's. Also, Telfair is more nba ready now, and no matter how good a player foye is, Telfair is the better pg and the better fit.

A reach by Boston I think Telfair is not worth the 7th pick alone. Now they are giving Dickau and Raef as well for him and an old scrub center with a big yearly salary in Ratliff ? I think it is a bad trade for Boston if you ask me, but hey. They already have enough young guys. Telfair could have success with them, and if he doesn't there's Rondo too..
