Great fucking shooting. That bullet was almost dead center. I wonder if it would have been possible to take him alive? Three cheers for the US military!
Politics aside, this is a major achievement for this president. It sounds more and more like he has been focused on this for the last several months as the intelligence became more solid. This reminds me of a Cuban missile crisis type of behind the scenes moments. Can you imagine the intense nature of those meetings as they got closer and closer to making the final decision. It doesn't matter what party you are from, if you are president during a moment like this it is on your watch. Just look back at history and you can figure that out pretty quickly. What an amazing moment in our history.
You can put all your trust in Allah, but when you are face to face with an American SEAL, you're fucked.
It's ridiculous to give any Administration credit for this. Credit our intelligence agencies and the military. They're the badasses.
Apparently US didn't involve any other country on this. Kept it in a very close circle and let the special ops do their jobs. Also, seems the U.S. is going to treat bin Laden's body according to Islamic ritual or whatever? I suppose to try and decrease his "martyr" status.
What a coward. I hope that fact is spread across the Muslim world. The guy that tells others to kill themselves for the greater glory of Allah hides behind a woman.
Completely disagree. Obama's circle kept it secret amazingly well. Made the right call. Didn't involve any other country during the raid. I mean I remember when apparently we had him cornered years ago and he got away because we apparently hesitated or something. This was done with excellent precision. So much shit could have gone wrong, but it went perfect. No American's injured, Osama dead. A failure could have been very bad in current times. Success was critical, and was executed by our operatives, intelligence gatherers, and higher up decision makers, ending with the president, perfectly. Also, you gotta give huge credit to Gates and Petreus (sorry about spelling here).
I have weird timing. I'm in DC right now and going to NYC tomorrow. Should I go to White House and Ground Zero?
The eighth anniversary of "Mission Accomplished." To the day. The 66th anniversary of the anouncement of the death of Adolph Hitler. To the day.
