Wednesday, May 4; Atlanta at Chicago Game 2; 8:00 PM

    Pickem' or you lose 'em.

    New arbitrary rule.
From here on out you have to pick the games individually correctly to get points.

    Monday, May 2; Atlanta at Chicago Game 1; 8:00 PM -- W
    Wednesday, May 4; Atlanta at Chicago Game 2; 8:00 PM -- W

I was going to make an individual thread for both games 1 and 2 but, to be honest, I respect the Hawks less than the Pacers. The Hawks' play in the first round was horrific and the only real takeaway is that the Magic are even worse than we thought.

I tried my hardest to root for Kirk Hinrich and Jamal Crawford in the series and found myself coming up empty. I don't know how we ever were so passionate about the two of them. Crawford is a chucker with no sense of what qualifies as a good shot, and Hinrich is just not very good. I see the Bulls winning this series in 4.

It looks like Hinrich is fine:

@johnhollinger RT @ajchawks: No MRI results yet for #Hawks G Kirk Hinrich (hamstring). Didn't look good last night but word is he's moving better today

I wouldn't be upset if the Hawks could push the Bulls enough to win a game.

    Whoa, Transplant!

Well, I'll join in on the optimism, but you guys aren't the least worried about Horford?

Anyway, two victories for the Bulls.

The logic is that the Hawks will be tougher than the Pacers. I don't think so.

I believe that the Bulls are completely 100% legit and the Magic more lost that series than the Hawks won it. At the end of the season, I believe that the Pacers were playing better basketball than the Hawks. The Bulls are very clearly better than the Hawks. They might lose a game, but shouldn't.

I hate to be a Polly-Anna, but with Kirk out I think the Bulls win the first two.

Jamal Crawford, meet our friend Derrick Rose.

Two ritualistic killings where we gorge on the gamey , but bony , carcass of the Hawk and leave the detritus for the hyenas and vultures that follow in our wake

    Win

Okay now ya'll are making me paranoid. It's perfectly fine for ME to predict a beatdown but when everyone joins in, I get edgy. Ha.

I'd feel better about our chances if Hinrich plays. He kills a team's offense. Having to defend Teague is tougher because he's less known and he's a speedy little PG type that could give is problems. We may see more of Crawford, who would have more opportunity to catch fire; he also gives them a really tall back court.

I think you're right. If Atlanta is going to beat the Bulls in a series they would have a better chance with Hinrich. Atlanta isn't going to beat the Bulls in a series though, and if you're trying to just win a game or two, it's probably better to have another streak shooter on the court.

Right now, I'd rather be the guy who made this prediction than the guy who said tonight would be a ritual killing.

    Just kidding.

Ha. Well if Joe Johnson drops 34 points on 12-18 shooting and Jamal Crawford drops 22 points on 8-16 shooting the Bulls aren't going to win. I've rooted for Crawford before. I know what's coming next and am willing to take my chances.
