The Osama Bin Laden Conspiracy Theories- you know they're coming.

If it was ever discovered that this Osama thing was a fake, that would fuel the terrorist around the world and put the US on a international level almost as bad as the terrorists. It could well start war with Pakistan as we basically said thier country is harboring terrorists and are uncapable of controlling this in their own country.

What president would ever agree to do this? Not Bush, Not Obama, not anyone who will hold the position of president of the US, IMO.

 

None of us asked the administration to announce this death on the same day that it happened. If you don't want to know details, that's your issue, but I don't see how getting upset at someone for pointing out that the official story has changed makes much sense. The smart move, IMO, would have been to go through the intel gathered at OBL's house, see if there were any active leads, and then release the information about his death, along with videos and photos, after knowing what intel that was gathered was actionable.

The White House didn't do that, and now they have put themselves in the situation of trying to get ahead of their own story.

I'm glad OBL is dead, and I'd like to see confirmation of it for my own mind, and not just a third-hand story about a body dumped into the ocean.

Exactly. The public demands instant information, the government tried to provide what they had, hastily, hence the "story" becomes altered as more info is acquired.

Furthermore, I don't give a fuck if OBL was armed or not. Why take the chance? Just whack him.

Seems like they are more tweaking the story to best fit their agenda.
