Apparently, leon Panetta has just admitted that information used to get Bin Laden came from waterboarded gitmo prisoners.

Perhaps not, but they sure pay CEO's a lot more than they pay factory workers to do just that. Decision making must be at least kinda important.
Most factory workers don't put themselves in harm's way. If Bush or Obama rappelled off a Pave Low and put two in Bin Laden's left eye, then they'd be getting the lion's share of the credit for me. Until then, I credit the intelligence community and our military.
I found it a little small of Obama he didn't give the previous Administration credit during his speech. The Bush Administration took a lot of flak for policies that in the end help catch this maggot.
Well, since Obama had known that this intelligence did come from Gitmo, perhaps that is why he didn't close it....knowing that he wouldn't be able to claim full credit later on.
He gave Bush credit, and he called Bush before the speech to inform him of the good news. He also kept Bush's Secy. of Defense and his general that won the war in Iraq.
If I missed where he gave the Bush Administration credit, then I stand corrected. I'm amazed he kept the General he joined in calling "General Betray Us" when he was in the Senate.
[E]ven if [Osama bin Laden] is caught tomorrow, it is five years too late. He has done more damage the longer he has been out there. But, in fact, the damage that he has done . . . is done. And even to capture him now I don’t think makes us any safer. -- Nancy Pelosi, Sept. 8, 2006 (press conference) The death of Osama bin Laden marks the most significant development in our fight against al-Qaida. . . . I salute President Obama, his national security team, Director Panetta, our men and women in the intelligence community and military, and other nations who supported this effort for their leadership in achieving this major accomplishment. . . . [T]he death of Osama bin Laden is historic. . . . -- Nancy Pelosi May 2, 2011
I'm no fan of San Fran Nan, but calling former Presidents Bush and Clinton and thanking them for their work in the War on Terror was a class move. I wonder if President Obama made the same phone calls? I would like to think that he did.
Its been widely reported that he called Bush Jr. when they knew they killed the bastard. I think Hillary could just tell Bill when she gets home and Bill asks how work was lol.
An interesting article explaining the discrepancies in reporting. http://mediamythalert.wordpress.com...ry-note-on-early-coverage-of-dramatic-events/
Maxiep, according to CNN, he called Bush before any public announcement, and he thanked Bush during the speech.
