<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - The Detroit Pistons selected Iowa State guard Will Blalock with the 60th and final pick of Wednesday's NBA draft.Blalock averaged 15.4 points and 6.1 assists for the Cyclones last season. The Pistons also announced late Wednesday that they traded Maurice Evans to the Los Angeles Lakers for the draft rights to Cheick Samb, a 7-foot-1 center from Senegal, who was picked 51st overall by the Lakers. The Pistons, who lost to Miami in the Eastern Conference finals, did not have a first-round pick, having sent it to Utah as part of the 2005 trade for Carlos Arroyo. The pick eventually ended up with Portland, who used it to select British center Joel Freeland.</div>http://www.macon.com/mld/macon/sports/coll...er/14925762.htm
i like it WELCOME maurice evans to the Los Angeles Lakers maybe the lakers dont need to sign laron profit after all
Maurice was one of my favorite players. I don't know too much about this other guy so I couldn't tell you if I like the trade or not, but I don't like to see Mo go.
I think this move could be good because Samb could play overseas and develop more. Carlos Delfino would get more minutes of the bench which will be great for him and maybe Dumars is looking to get a FA who can play the G/F posistion.
I like the trade a lot. I think Flip liked Evans a little too much and ended up hurting our team by playing so much. I think Delfino is a better all around player and i think we did this trade to make sure that Delfino will play and it also puts us 1.5 mill more under the cap to sign Ben.

Cheick Samb or whatever his name is isn't proven, and I liked Mo Evans energy and spark off the bench. Kind of like Darvin Ham with all the dunks and the occasional three pointer.
Maurice was a good player, and played hard every night, I am sorry to see him go.I see this as a sign. Either we are going to make a move for a backup swingman, or Joe D has his eye on a potential free agent that he wants to bring in.
Mo Plays for the lakers now... he plays for the kings enemy! we brought mo into the NBA and hes going to LA
I love Evans athleticism but he was very inconsistent this whole year. I think this is a sign that Joe D is planning on making a run at someone like a Bonzi Wells. I think Flip should really give Amir Johnson a shot at the baCk up 3 spot, I know coming into last year's draft he was a 4 but he is not big enough to be one yet. If Gerald Green has the Celtic fans all hyped up why not we be amped about Amir? If the Pistons sign Wells and Amir becomes another scorer off the bench the bench would definitley be an improvement from this past season. HoLLa baCk
Samb is 7'1, and weighs 195 pounds. He will never do anything unless he packs on 20+ pounds, and develops his game alot more.NBADraft Net Profile

The pistons are losing another bench player. Arrojo, Darko, and now Evans. Their starters can't play 48 minutes. Injuries will really hurt Detroit now.

However I think you are right, we have a really short bench, and we can't not be injured forever.
