Being the good guys means openness and honesty. The arab world is doubting our word as it is. Families of victims of 9/11 want to see the proof. There is no worst case scenario that is compelling enough on AMERICA's behalf to warrant keeping the photo secret - just political reasons. Let's see it.
Anyone who's going to attack us is not going to allow the picture to be the make or break issue. Just because I voted for the guy and will again doesn't mean I have to agree with this decision. I hope the picture comes out, there are just too many reasons why more information about this event will give the public closure.
There are 2 kinds of threats to our interests from the terrorist/extremist abroad, the threat of a cold calculated attack by those with the resources/skills necessary to pull of a planned operation, and the reactionary clusterfuck of crazy that comes out when a large enough group of otherwise docile western-haters is incited to violence. Gruesome pictures won't do shit to effect the former, other than strengthen their resolve, but the latter is clearly a possibility. With at least 20 deaths and several times that in injuries sustained in protests/violence after that dumbass burned a Quran in florida anyone claiming releasing these photos wouldn't put lives at risk is a fool.
Not releasing these photos to me reeks of appeasement. And we all know how it turned out for Prime Minister Chamberlain.
We should have stripped him naked and had a necrophilia show with a bunch of gay men and post it on youtube. How about dem apples?!?!?!
If we really wanted to fuck up bin Laden the Blazers should have drafted him to be our next great starting center.
