what you think of Oden likely determines whether or not you might do this, From all accouts Irving is a great PG prospect. I asked the question because I vacillate on my own feelings on this - let me hear what you think.

Of course there is the big question of what the team that could or will draft him would do?

No. I'm not convinced Irving will be a franchise PG.

I could be convinced into doing that. But I'd hate myself for doing it.

I think Irving is the next CP.

Edit: Actually, more of a combo of Roy and CP.

Rose is pure athleticism, and is quick. His development this year has been remarkable.

But Irving has more skill at this stage of his game than Rose did @ Memphis. And although we only got to watch like 8 of his games in College, I think his skillset can transfer seamlessly in to the NBA.

No. Oden will not be injured forever. When he is on the court - he is more valuable than almost any PG.

I cant do both of them for him. I realize that Batum alone wouldnt be enough for them, and Oden alone would be too much of a risk for the other team... but both would be too much of a risk for me.

No, I really hope we just sign Oden for 4 years. I think in 2 years, he will be more valuable than Aldridge. I truly believe that too.

I hope so, too. However, I think that Oden wants out of Dodge; I think he takes the QO and bolts. I hope I'm wrong.

exactly how do you know this?

btw, I'd compare Kyrie to Curry with his PG demeanor and size. He's a more athletic then Stephon but doesn't have the killer outside shot. He should be very good in the league but I'm with the masses in preferring the greener grass on our side of the fence

I agree with you Maxie which is why I would probably pull the trigger on this deal if we could do it.

from what I've read i though he had a very good outside game , especially for a guy as young as he is

here's his shooting summary from nbadraft site

"Excellent shooter with the ability to get shots within the flow of the offense … Jumpshot has great form … Has range out to NBA three and just needs time to gain consistency on it … Good one on one skills … Can pull up off the dribble … A strong finisher exhibiting good body control … Ambidextrous with the dribble, showing impressive ability to go to the left and finish with his off hand … Has excellent ball handling ability with a nasty crossover … High motor kid who gets strong reviews for his character and work ethic … Has a good wingspan and big hands which are obviously positive attributes … Very efficient shooter : 53% fg, 90% ft, 45% 3p … Solid defender with adequate size. Gets low, fundamental, doesn’t gamble too often. Plays the passing lanes well (1.5 spg) …"
