Obama: 'Getting our man' outweighed risks of raid The helicopter raid "was the longest 40 minutes of my life," Obama told CBS' "60 Minutes," http://www.katu.com/news/121471344.html No wonder presidents age so much while in office. besides misdirecting the vast majority of our military resources towards invading/occupying Iraq that largely placed us in the dire economic straights we find ourselves in today, directing the Army to stand down in Tora Bora Dec. 2001, and disbanding the CIA task force who's mission is was to capture/kill Osama in 2005, what policies are you referring to? Disgracing/endangering our soldiers/country by torturing various Iraqi's that turned up zippo? His policies/actions made it seem as if George actually meant his famous quote made March 13th 2002...“I don’t know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don’t care. It’s not that important. It’s not our priority.” how unreasonable is it to speculate on the possibility that W turned down the President's request to take part and be honored in the post Osama killing ceremonies because that would have reflected bad on him in his family's ongoing dealings with the Saudis and specifically the bin Ladens? Didn't work out so well for Jimmy Carter when he made the same decision to send in a force to rescue the hostages in Iran. Military failed him badly, costing him a re-election. It always smelled like a deliberate failure to me, orchestrated by the Reagan gang. I have trouble believing our military was as inept as the official story made them appear, almost like Keystone Kops.
