I really hate flopping. To me, it's not only cheating but detracts from the game itself. Dallas is the new San Antonio in that they have made it an art form. Not less that 5-10 calls per game are from pure flops. That leads to more free throws, possible loss of momentum for the other team and simply cheats the fans. I'd like to make flops part of instant replay. The ref will have the authority to over rule the flop call, award the other team 2 free throws and the ball as well as the flopper picking up a foul.

Another thing I'd like to see go away is "creating contact". If a player is dribbling straight to the basket and then jumps sideways into a defender, it should be a no call.

Remember when the officials were all saying they were going to call fouls on floppers for flopping? I think it was early this season.

IMHO, the Kevin Durant special should go too; that "knock your shooting arm up into the defender's hands and flail to get foul shots" thing is so insulting to the spirit of the game.

I agree. The call should really go against which ever player is initiating the contact. If the defensive player isn't moving their arms while the offensive player swings his arm into the defender, that shouldn't be a defensive foul.

It is a cheap play and I wish they would change how they call it.
