Kobe Bryant has privately asked the Lakers to make a run at Clips free agent guard Sam Cassell, according to AM 570's David Vassegh. I think Cassell would sign with the Lakers if they make an attractive offer to him. He knows that playing with Kobe Bryant always gives you a good chance of winning, and he could be the real floor general the Lakers are looking for. Plus he wouldn't have to move from his house, considering he just played for the Clippers.
This would just turn out the lakers. Cassel would make them so much better. And he could teach the young pg's they have.
Cassell would be excellent for the Lakers for 2-3 years. I think he would have a solid shot at winning another title w/ Kobe + Lamar + Zen + kwameshits. if Kwameshits plays well, that is.

There was a rumour saying that no-one wanted to play with the lakers. Sam, Bobby jackson and marcus banks want to play here. I guess the p & g are a favourable choice again.
Well a lot of people want the chance to play with Kobe Bryant and play for Phil Jackson. It doesn't take a genius to understand after the 06 Playoffs that the Lakers are gonna be back. The Purple & Gold will rise again.
Yeah it is a Dream come true. Imagine the Lakers trading for Garnett and signing Sam. Its not going to happen but it would be great.

He would only be around for 1 or 2 seasons, but you need a pg, and with Terry re-signing and Mike James being a ball hog, he is probably your best current option. Good luck with it.
