It's an even swap of coaches and Lukes. Portland gets the experienced veterans, while the Lakers get youth. We have a recently active thread calling Nate the best young coach in the NBA.
I'd trade a bag of dicks for the Lakers folding as a franchise and the Staples Center being burned to the ground.
I'd trade for Pau, his value has never been lower and the Lakers seem to want to make him their scapegoat. We probably don't have the right pieces to make a deal happen but I'd send out Batum, Camby, and swap draft picks. Pau was the clear second best player on a team that went to four straight finals. I'm loving the Lakers collapse, but if we can use their desperation to remake the roster we can set that franchise back, Cho needs to jump all over it!
There's nothing there. They have only 3-4 good players on the whole team because Buss is a very lazy owner. He only picks up off the ground what he can get for free. Gasol, Artest, and Blake are their last 3 years of acquisitions. Despite all the money the team makes, they are never in the rumors at trade time. Their supposed GM, no-talent Mitch Kupchak, is a front for Buss' kids. In contrast to the professional Vulcans, the Laker family circus has managed the Lakers horribly.
