The ending of an era for the Jazz, Spurs and Lakers. Dallas getting old fast. Obviously OKC are the favorites for the future (even if they lose to Memphis), but who else? I have a feeling that next season the East FINALLY passes the West...
I think they are passed the West this season. Just looking at the final 4. Chicago, Boston, Miami, ATL are a stronger group than LAL, OKC, Memphis, and Dallas IMO.
Maybe at the top, but the West still has a much higher winning % against the East. What happened to the Lakers that went 17-1 after the All-Star break?
The front runner is OKC hands down, behind them are gonna be the aging Dallas who probably has 1 more year left and then Memphis/us/NO and after that comes a lot of teams that show promise and next year could be a huge year for some of them and thats Clippers/Houston/GSW. The old but maybe not done of Spurs/lakers i'm not sure whats gonna happen to them, if both of them make some steller trades next year they could be back in contention for a few more years.
I agree, I think Westbrook is to much of a "Me" player. He wants the ball in his hands when the games on the line wants all the fame for himself, and he just isn't good enough for that. If i'm OKC i'm seeing if I can trade Westbrook for Curry and something else, because Westbrook is gonna make sure that OKC doesn't see a finals until he can figure out he is second fiddle.
What if we offered Wes Matthews to New Orleans for Chris Paul? Anyone can offer...New Orleans would be crazy to accept.
Well, yes, in that Rudy Gay is a waste of a contract. But if Chris Paul really makes it known he's leaving as a FA, his value drops quickly.
True, but Paul is significantly better than Anthony, yet Denver got more than a way overpaid Rudy Gay. I think Paul would have a fair amount of value to a team he'd be willing to re-sign with. I wonder if he'd be willing to re-sign in Portland. I think Portland could beat a Rudy Gay offer, if so. If by the trade deadline, Oden has been playing and looks healthy, I might be willing to offer Aldridge for Paul. Or some combination of anyone else on the roster. Again, assuming Paul said he was willing to re-sign in Portland.
The Thunder aren't the favorites. They're just two guys and they're not even that good at playing together. I like our shaky future much better than theirs.
Pau's GF became friends with Bryants wife and she pretty much caused her to break up with Pau. Because of that Pau didn't speak with Bryant the entire DAllas series and caused him so many head problems and chemistry problems that he was a shell of his self.
