Oden's fall from grace

I disagree. The receiving team won't get a chance to see Oden on the court prior to having to make a decision on offering him an $8.2 million QO. For Paul Allen, that's chump change if he wants to keep Oden. For another team, it may be a more difficult decision, considering the GM won't get to see how he fits in with the players/coach. Plus, if GO accepts the QO, it's basically a wasted trade in terms of on-court production.

 

Maybe because he has a history of being injured. All the time. Every season.

 

I think he meant Oden is worth more to keep than to trade as a expiring contract.

 

I meant that the receiving team may value Oden's contract more than Oden the player.

Ed, I'm not sure why anyone would think otherwise, at least in terms of it being a possibility for one or more teams.
