Home Depot Center selected as MLS Cup 2011 host Los Angeles to host league championship for record fifth time NEW YORK — MLS Cup is headed back to Tinseltown. For a record fourth time, the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., will play host to Major League Soccer’s championship match this fall, the league announced on Tuesday. MLS Cup 2011 will be contested on Nov. 20, 2011, on the home pitch of the LA Galaxy. Kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET and the match will be televised live on ESPN and Galavisión in the United States and on TSN2 in Canada. “We are proud and excited to bring Major League Soccer’s championship event back to Los Angeles and the Home Depot Center, one of the finest sports venues in the United States,” MLS Commissioner Don Garber said in a statement. “MLS Cup has grown into a four-day celebration of the world’s game in North America.
