    Having all grown a week older and having no Blazer games to fill our otherwise empty lives, there is a lot of personal growth to enjoy. So what in the past week has struck you or have you learned? I'll start.

    Family ain't so bad if you're open to them.

    It's way easier to "J.O." while wearing socks.

    Star Trek isn't just for nerds.

    I had forgotten that the Knicks didn't use the "Allen Houston Rule" on Allen Houston.

    R&D Planning for an enterprise that hasn't done it in a while entails a lot of "Going back to basics".

    DC is a significantly different vibe than Seattle.

    My 13-month-old has the capacity to be intentionally funny.

    Traffic in Seattle makes Portland look barren by comparison

    It takes 45 minutes during rush hour to get from Tualatin to West Linn for a T-ball game

    My home smoke alarms like to go off out of nowhere and scare the living shit out of me

    Making the 4 hour trip to Dallas for In n Out Burger was worth the trip.

    Nothing beats sitting at a MLB baseball game with your kids eating crap and teaching them how to use a scorebook.
