Toronto Raptors president and general manager Bryan Colangelo has agreed in principle to a multiyear extension with the team, a league source tells ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher.

The Raptors have a 183-227 record and a pair of playoff apperaances since Colangelo was appointed to the post in 2006. He's a two-time NBA executive of the year, in 2005 with the Phoenix Suns and 2007 with the Raptors.

Despite the Raptors' transitioning ownership making a complete clusterfuck of this deal, as is their M.O., in the end the team is better to have a general manager in place for the draft.

I agree. Plus its only a 2 year deal so it gives some them some flexibility. Atleast we won't have another Araujo situation...
