Coach Nate McMillan Raises Like 1,000 Questions About Blazers Roster

This will be a serious question we must answer. This will determine what direction the team needs to go. Obviously Roy believes he is still a superstar; and the team believes he may need to find a new role on the team. Can they actually meet in the middle? I am a little worried because I don't believe Roy's heart and desire will humble him enough to accept a limited role on this team.

The comments there are, on whole, more unrealistic and dumber than what we read here.

Plus, the format there makes my eyes hurt.

Does that mean we are smarter than Nate?

Roy is the easiest of the questions to answer. Either there will be an amnesty clause in the new CBA and he'll be jettisoned or there won't and we won't have any choice but to keep him and his bloated contract (barring a medical retirement).

As for the rest I think the only players that for sure will be here after the lockout are LMA, Wallace and Wesley ... Miller I would call likely.

It was obvious that Nate had 3 SG's he was trying to make happy and it had no chance of working. Only Wes could play another position (SF) but he had Batum and Wallace there.

Bottom line is one will be gone and that one will be Rudy. I know I sound like a broken record but Brandon was NEVER a good PG. Never. Not when he was 100% healthy. He is a SG who has pretty good passing skills. Using him as a PG was a big mistake. It would have been even bigger if we actually had a good back up PG that sat. But we didn't so Nate rolled the dice with Roy and Rudy. But in the end it made them both look bad. Next year will be different because they will have a true PG in their at all times running the show.

    Miller/ ?
    Roy/Wes
    Wallace/Batum
    LMA/Wallace
    Oden/LMA

Camby and Rudy are iffy at this point.

Yes Roy will start becasue he plays well with LMA and because he is the best all around shooter on the team. He still will only get 24-28 minutes a game. The PG has to run the show. And Roy has to catch, take a step and shoot. He and LMA will be the shooters, while Wallace will attack. If we get Greg we are set.

I see Elliott Williams getting some miuntes at the SG every few games. But the key on the bench is finding a PG to play with Wes, Batum, and Wallace on the second unit. There has to be a vet out there who can run the show. Otherwise draft another project. You know Nate wants a back up PG badly. Mills can shoot, but does not run the offense.

It's gooD to hear Nate say these things. Nik, I personally think that no one is untouchable except maybe Greg Oden. He is one of a kind and worth sticking around to see who he'll become. We know what we've got with the others and it's time to move on. Blow it up and give us a winner, Cho. As it stands, this unit isn't getting out of the first round next year either.

Nate should remember that when you are pointing fingers at someone's poor playoff performance, there are 3 pointing right back at you.
