jose isnt the only problem on the team. every position on the roster must be upgraded.

I also expect DeMar to work on his jump shot and D. If he can pan out to be an Igoudala-ceiling player, i'll be very happy.

I agree that Jose isn't the only problem but i don't think every position needs to be upgraded. SG and PF are pretty good going forward.

Ed Davis has the potential to be a very good 4 in this league with his massively long arms and athleticism.

yes, demar is a shooting guard who cant shoot and we have power forwards who get manhandled physically by opposing power forwards. nevertheless, we do have tradeable assets (young and cheap) and this is the first time i could remember having any in years

Demar is actually a pretty good midrange shooter. His improvement over the past year was remarkable. He just needs to add a three point shot (or be paired with a solid three point shooting SF) and work on his handles and he will be very good offensively.

Ed Davis has all the tools to be a great defender and the instincts to be a good shotblocker (can't teach instincts). He needs to add muscle no doubt, but he has previously stated that this will be his main focus this offseason.

Some more Kanter footage working out with Tim Grover (who has worked with MJ, Kobe, and Dwade).

His perimeter shot looks pretty good. I know this will scare most of us Raptor fans because we have had experience with jump shooting big men. But this guy is a big body and looks like solid rebounder. His previous footage has shown that he likes working in the post. Plus is lack of athleticism may be exaggerated. Sure he's no Dwight Howard, but people like Perkins and Marc Gasol aren't overly athletic but are still solid defenders and rebounders. IMO he would be a perfect fit with Ed and Amir who are pretty good shot blockers but a little skinny. If we miss out on Irving and Williams, i really think the Raptors should consider this guy.

Time for the Raps to win the lottery again.

Fun fact--when the Raps won Andrea Bargnani, we won both the first and second picks, and the second pick had to be re-drawn. I think I remember reading that.

Booo, Raps fall to fifth. If they stay at that spot, I am feeling Jan Vesely. If Cavs like Derrick Williams though I hope the raps trade to two to get Kyrie Irving.

How unlucky are the Clippers? lmao.

They traded away their 1st rounder because they didnt' think they had a shot at getting the #1 pick

I think Clips made a good move. sure, Irving/Griffin combo would have been sick but having Eric Gordon is pretty damn good already.

    WTF?

The Clips could've had Griffin/Gordon and Irving. Instead they decided to use a 1st to move B-Diddy's big contract and didn't feel the need to put any protection on the pick. Ranks up there with the Kendrick Perkins/Jeff Green trade in terms of stupidity.

Okay, I'll agree that not protecting the pick was stupid but with the money they save from Davis being shipped away they could make some good signings and be making the playoffs very soon, they already have enough young guys.

Kanter has refused to be interviewed by the Raps, possibly due to the Turkoglu situation, possibly because he doesn't want to play for Toronto, possibly because he has a promise, who knows? Not a good sign in any case. But he also refused the Bucks and Jazz.
