I just finished Excel Basketball Camp this week which is held at De La Salle highschool one of the best athletic schools in America. Its a 5 day camp that is 5 hours a day and they hold 7 of the 5 day sessions. They also have camps over the weekends that are for certain things like shooting, or defense, etc. This is my third year going and my best year so far. I won the three point contest in my age area which is pretty much anyone from around 12-14 year olds. Were known as the College Division and the teams in it are Duke, North Carolina(my team), Florida, Indiana, Kansas, and Kentucky. It was the first time I ever even got past the first round in the three point contest. Our team lost to Florida in the championship game by one basket which sucked. They had a way bigger team than us though. They had a kid my age thats already 6'5 lol. I had 12 points 3 assists, and 3 steals. I made all stars for the first time this year which was also pretty cool. The one other award I got was most improved player from last year for my age group. Its a really good camp though and it can benefit you a lot if you go yearly. Anyone in the Bay Area from here should consider going. BTW Ive been considering going to ABCD Camp or 5 Star camp next year. Theyre both held though like across the country though so I would have to fly there and it would be a ton of money and I would have to chip in half of it my parents say. I only want to go if I know one or the other is made out to what theyre said to be. Has anyone ever gone to one of these two camps before because if you have I would like some feedback on them.
