Okay so now that KP is no longer part of the Blazer organization, will the draft day excitement be a boring time? I do remember Cho was very active at draft day in Seattle, so maybe he stays on course with the Blazers? How many deals you think are gonna take place? And out of the deals; how many will be something we get excited about? Example of exciting deal was the Roy and Aldridge shop-a-thon. Deals I won't be too excited about are things like 2 second rounds for a 27th pick, or scrubs for a second rounder.
My guess is we make 1 high impact trade and 3 smaller trades. I assume we may see a couple starters gone by the end of the day.
I'll be very surprised if Andre Miller is still a Blazer at the end of the draft. I don't mean that negatively toward Miller, either. He's by far the most tradable starter, IMO.
Well judging from KPs draft picks over the past few years, I'd say all that movement and trading up and down amounted to little more than a lot of sound and fury and not much substance. Take away the Roy, Aldridge and Batum picks and what did he accomplish in 5 years?

No, I guess I didn't think you were being sarcastic. As for doing most of his deals on draft day, that was certainly his M.O. (for all the good it did him).
I think finding a legit NBA starter late in the draft, and drafting arguably the two best players in one draft (Rondo is pretty damn good now, though), without having the #1 pick, is a decent showing for 5-year window. He drafted/traded for during draft 2 All-NBA players the past five years. How many other GMs can claim this with those players still on his team? Same Presti is the only one I can think of, and he blew the Jeff Green pick in the Durant draft. Imagine Joakim Noah on the Thunder. Lights out, championship, IMO. They still may win one this year, though. KP's worst blunder was not drafting Kevin Durant. I recall very few, if any, posters on BBF advocating Durant over Oden. I know I wasn't one of them. KP's worst move was sending Brandon Roy to Seacaucus, NJ, to win the lottery. If Seattle wins, history is greatly altered.
Half his trades were trading this year's 2nd rounder for next year's 2nd rounder. The other half were overpaying $3M for a low pick.
