Why the hell do we want another shooting guard when its one of our most packed positions? I'm tired of the experiment of trying to turn a SG into a PG (Rudy/Bayless/Roy).

Especially one that shoots 30% from three. I think it's probably a smokescreen to throw off teams to our real target.

Burks is a real talent. He's going to be a stud.

No kidding- though I do think Matthews is pretty good, but I don't either Rudy or Roy is worth the minutes behind him. All things being equal, I'd rather get a point guard, but if we think this Burks will be better than Matthews, then i'm all for it.

Who gives a crap what position any player in this draft plays. This team desperately needs an infusion of talent across the board after firing duds on most of the picks since the 2006 draft. If you get redundant at some position after the draft, then make trades to balance the roster out.

He's not even the best player you could get at around 10 though...

OK fine, but that wasn't my point. I was just trying to address the notion that this team should avoid drafting a player because of the position they play. If Alec Burks isn't the best player on the board if they pick him at 21 or if they move up and pick him with better players still on the board, then shame on them.

Well at least he's not a Euro???

Another SG makes all kinds of sense if the amnesty clause is used on Roy, and Rudy goes back to Spain, but if Roy is here a SG makes zero sense

Maybe in 3-4 years he might even be a decent starter in the NBA.

This I agree with you on 100%. Unless there is an equally good player at another position of need, then don't worry about the roster. Just get the best player available. As we all know too well, "needs" for teams can change in a hurry.
