I didnt think Philly deserved that low of a grade, because Carney could be so good in the future, but why take two more 6'6" swingmen when you already have Iguodala and Salmons. Rockets with the A though? :dunno:

did you guys even READ the rockets thing? yea i didn't think so. two large paragraphs scare some people.i can't quote it so i'll just summarize it in my own words..it says that gay really hasn't proved us anything. he could be great down the road. or be horrible down the road.battier also fits PERFECT into the houston system. he can hit the open jumper (at the right time). he gets down and dirty w/ his D. and he's a hustle-type of player. something that houston is MISSING. we just got rid of stromile swift. a player who was struggling under jeff van gundy.got rid of swift and an unproven rook, and added battier (perfect match for houston). i'd say that was pretty good. not to mention we secured draft rights to a certain Lior Eliyahu (google). and our offseason really isn't over yet. i see some more moves. w/ what we had. it was an A.

Well, it clearly says in the beginning that their grades are based on opinion, but some of them are definitely questionable regardless. Seattle is the one that seems a little flaky (C?).

WTF? So it was all a joke? What? I'm sooooooooo confused now. The trade went through though, every draft website has Gay a Grizzlie, and I recently heard Stro may not like going back there and has mixed feelings about the trade.

I'm confused lol, someone help me out.

    1-10
Toronto: Ehh, C+. I don't think Bargnani will ever live up to #1 pick and I think he will be soft. Tucker was nice in the 2nd round though, but again, another forward.

Chicago: B-? No way, I give them an A-. Thomas has one of the highest ceilings in this draft, Sefolosha = perfect for the Bulls (defends, gives them size, solid scorer), and Khryapa is a solid player man. I love what the Bulls did this year.

Charlotte: A seems right. Adam Morrison is NBA-ready and could be an All-Star. Ryan Hollins was a very good 2nd round pick at 50 as well, he was a steal.

Portland: I would like to thank them for Telfair and Ratliff lol, but also note that they turned the #7 pick into Brandon Roy and Sergio Rodriguez. Pretty solid. Not to mention LaMarcus Aldridge. Jesus christ, 6 trades on draft night lol, but they did well. I give them an A (they could have had Morrison and possibly Aldridge as well). They got 2 guys with star potential, and to top it off the are both NBA-ready. Roy, Aldridge, Jack, Webster = solid future. Portland is moving in the right direction, just get Randolph/Miles OUT lol.

Atlanta: A D? WTF? B in my book. Shelden wasn't the best player available (Roy/Foye/Gay) but it filled a HUGE need and he will come in and contribute in a large way right away. I liked the pick a lot, Randy Foye could have been a good pick too, but who knows what they will get for Harrington this summer at the PG spot if they can work a S&T.

Minnesota: An F? WTF????? Foye fills a need and also has star potential. He fills their PG hole for when Banks leaves, and Foye probably will be a better player than Banks in the future anyway. Also, Craig Smith (GO BC! lol) is a good pick. He is a more athletic Ryan Gomes type of player. Maybe not as NBA ready as Gomes was, but is undersized and still gets the job done. B - Randy Foye could very well in rookie of the year as well.

Boston: I agree with a B. I really loved all 3 trades for us, to be honest. We turned Raef into an athletic defensive center in Ratliff who's contract expires a year earlier than Raef's. We could have had Foye or Gay, but our focus was clearly PG and Telfair is better fit for this team than any PG in the draft, and also has 2 years under his belt. I like Rondo, he could take time, but I will be a very good NBA player. And to top that off, Ainge said he would have taken Rondo at #7 anyway. Leon Powe could be this year's Ryan Gomes, watch for him to impress in the summer league.

Houston: D+. Battier fits into the Rocket's system well, but giving up Rudy Gay AND Stromile Swift was retarded. I think that was a terrible move! Rudy Gay can play defense too, and pair him with T-Mac and Yao in 3 years you have a very good team. I liked Novak at 32 though.

Golden State: Everyone was saying Carney here, but I called O'Bryant the whole time. Adonal Foye is the worst starting center in the league, and O'Bryant will fill that up within the next couple years. He has size, he rebounds, and he has a soft touch. B- because it filled a big need. Ellis, Richardson, Peitrus, Diogue, O'Bryant, and Beidrins is a nice looking young core.

Seattle: I didn't really like this pick, Sene went way too high. Plus you already have Robert Swift and Johan Petro, you don't need Sene. I'm not sure if he will come over and play this year or not, but I don't like it. Dehnam Brown was a solid pick in the 2nd round though, he can score. I think Seattle should have just traded out of the draft. D+

    11-20

Orlando: Redick was a nice pick, I really liked it. It filled a need, and Redick will be awesome with that team and in Orlando's system. He has a chance to come in and start, and even if he doesn't, I expect him to earn the starting spot by the All-Star break. James Augustine was a good pick too. He's very tough, does all the dirty work, and is a good rebounder. He is the next Kelvin Cato. I give Orlando a B+.

New Orleans: I liked it a lot. I think Armstrong is perfect and he fills their #1 need, a center. He will contribute toughness, defense, and rebounding right away and his offense will look better than it really is feeding off Chris Paul. Cedric Simmons was a solid pick as well, but I think a SG would have been best here, like Rodney Carney. They need to adress their wing situation soon because outside of Desmond Mason, nothing is very intriguing (J.R. Smith on his way out, Kirk Snyder, and Rasual Butler). But again Simmons was solid. I'll agree with a B+.

Philadelphia: What? A D-? Please... They did well. Rodney Carney is awesome for this team, he plays defense, he can shoot (still needs work but his shot it ok for now), he's athletic as hell, and he fits in with Iguodala. Brewer would have been nice too, but this was still a nice trade (Seflolosha for Carney). Bobby Jones is also a good defender and he can replace John Salmons/Willie Green. C+

Utah: Brewer, Dee Brown, and Paul Millsap? Awesome. I give them an A as well. They did unbelievable. Brewer fills the SG need, makes them more athletic, and he can play and guard the 1, 2, and 3 positions. Dee Brown back with his old buddy Deron Williams, and Brown should be a good backup in this league. He is a poor man's Allen Iverson really (a very poor man's AI lol, but his heart, passion, quickness is similar). Millsap was a steal as well, he's an excellent rebounder, very strong, and he will be awesome off the bench this year. A.

Indiana: I guestion this pick because of Granger. I don't really like it. Sure Williams has size and potential, but with Granger, Jackson, and trying to retain Fred Jones - it's not the right fit. They should have taken Marcus Williams in my opinion. Also, James White is an incredible athlete, but his NBA skill is boarderline, I see him as an NBDL player. C-

Washington: OK I'll say it - most international big men are soft. They got 2 of them. This isn't going to help them, and is Pecherov even comming over and playing this year? Plus they got Blatche last year. I don't know about this pick, but I have heard too many good things about Pecherov, so I will give them a C- because he has a chance to be a good player.

Sacramento: Loved the pick. Douby is the next Bobby Jackson in Sacramento, book it. He is perfect for this team and he will contribute right away off the bench. B+ is agreeable.

New York: LMAO is an F- even possible? I say D-. I don't care what Rok says, Balkman was a bad pick at 20. Terrible. So the Suns might have taken him, ok, there were better players available than him anyway. He should have been a mid-2nd rounder. I love Collins, and he is the only thing keeping this from an F. And if they didn't have too many players at Collins' position this would be a higher grade. Collins will be an excellent player, and he slipped in this draft. He just doesn't fit though, not on a team with Marbury, Francis, Crawford, Rose, Richardson, and Robinson. D-

Phoenix: Thank you for Rondo! But I think Phoenix did the right thing. They wanted out of this draft, so they set themselves up with future picks. Good choice. B is the grade I give them. Also note we gave them Cleveland's 2007 1st rounder (top 10 protected.. but we wont worry about that lol), and next year's draft is very deep with a lot of talent. A lot of talent.
