I can understand letting Rose go 1-1 with Bibby guarding him. Why not go to the P&R with Lebron guarding him?
You guys are going to spend the entire summer arguing ad naseum about who the bulls should try and get at SG. But I could be the shooting guard and it wouldn't matter if Rose comes up small in the big moments like he has this series. Even Ben Gordon found that last step back fade away as time expired disgusting and weak. Until Rose figures out how to be successful down the stretch, the bulls aren't going to win anything significant.
johnhollinger John Hollinger Not saying Bulls play calls were iffy, but I have Hawks fans Tweeting me wanting to know when Chicago stole their playbook.
Climb into your time machine and tell me what players could have taken Rose's place and let the Bulls into the Finals. I'm thinking the list looks like a who's who of the greatest players of all time.
The only other guy on the roster who can handle the ball with any confidence is Watson. Until the Bulls have a way to relieve Rose of the full time pressure he's been under, they can't possibly win against the real contenders in the playoffs. Look at Miami. They have LeBron and Wade, sure, who can handle the ball. But also Chalmers and Bibby and Miller who all see big minutes. Miami is so huge when they want to be and not lacking for a 2nd ball handler. Wade at PG, 6'8" Miller at SG, Bosh, LeBron, and Haslem. Wade is the only guy under 6'8" in that lineup. The way Rose has been shut down is what I've been posting about all year. It's playoffs, they get to see game films and prepare for us. Stop Rose, you stop the Bulls. There's no Pippen out there (e.g. quality 2nd ballhandler/scorer).
