To tell you the truth, when I sit here thinking about who went where, I honestly don't see any standout busts. I think there will be A LOT of solid players, even from the 2nd round. But if I had to pick one, I would say Bargnani. He won't be the next dirk (I don't think he will be Tskitishvili either), and even from those highlight films I didn't see ANY post moves. Everything is a jump shot for him and he is not a good rebounder. Can he be solid? Sure. But the next Dirk, hell no, and I don't think he will live up to the #1 pick. I see about 7-8 players in the top 10 being better than Bargnani really. Just my opinion, but I think Aldridge was the best bet for Toronto.

Patrick O'Bryant, he has a questionable work ethic and he's in a basketball hell hole in San Francisco so it doesn't look good for him. Saer Sene is really raw and not even good enough to put into a game, so he's an obvious choice. Otherwise nobody else sticks out.

Oleisky (however the hell you spell it) Pecherov. [IMG] Foreign players just never work with our team. Why couldnt we just take Mo Ager, Mardy Collins, or Rajon Rondo while they were available? Oh well, people say he's the next Dirk so I'm happy. :beerchug: LOL

The whole point of being a bust is that you play much much worse than you were supposed to, so there's no way of knowing right now.

Exactly right, theres no real way of knowing who will be a bust right now. Lots of players are just raw right now, not fully NBA ready at least. Saer won't be a bust because he probably won't get much playing time and will still need a few seasons before you can fully evaluate him.Bargani was picked based fully on potential teams saw in him. I think the bar is set high on him, being the first pick and all. He will have an effect on the Raptors but hes not going to be a 20 point scorer in his first season or anything. He needs to add some strength, the post moves will come after that and so will defense as well.

Where I live people are really hating on Dee Brown. Saying he'll suck in the NBA. 5ppg for life player. [IMG]...I hope not. But who I think will be a bust would be Renaldo Balkman and Saer Sene.

Even if he is just a 5 point per game scorer over the course of his career, I wouldn't consider that a bust because there aren't many expectations for anyone picked in the second round. I don't think Saer will be a bust, he picked up the game real quickly, loves playing, and has a great work ethic. I could see him as the next Dikembe Mutumbo. I'm not to high on Ty Thomas. I don't think he can really find his own shots, he seems like a guy that can only score off put backs, or on the fast break. He is going to have to do alot of work to become a player in this league.

Ronnie Brewer a bust? come on, that's just flat out hating. He was born for the nba, he has length, incredible defense, good ballhandling and passing skills while being 6-7. What's not to like?I also disagree with Tyrus Thomas. He's an extraordinary athlete, and he plays with alot of passion. He's a great shotblocker and an underrated passer. I'm a huge fan of his game, but not necessarily his attitude. But there's no question he will have success in the league.

I just see Stro written all over him. He's got the athleticism and all, but if you watch his highlight clips, never once will you see him score in the low post, and rarely will he hit a jumper. His game will also take a hit as to the fact that Chicago is more of a slow paced, Tyrus likes to run. I think he could be a nice player in the league, but I think he is the biggest project of all the lottery picks (besides Sene).
