That's true too, but hopefully he's learned some important lessons so he can take his game to the next level.
The defense didn't stop anything for the last 3+ minutes. Coughed up a 12 point lead even. I was pretty confident we'd win at the 4:00 mark. What a choke.
It was a really bad thing to see a seven-point lead going to tied game in 46 seconds. Then it was over for the Bulls. Sad...
Something I didn't understand as long as I'm following NBA basketball. Calls for the star game. Same thing with MJ and Pippen in the 90s. Now Heat getting so many more FTs. Heat going to the Finals with shooting 436 FTs, their opponents 303 FTs in 15 games Mavericks going to the Finals with shooting 378 FTs, their opponents 364 FTs in 15 games Doesn't bode well for Mavs...
Don't think that this would be good. But perhaps...this is the only way. Seeing the Heat shooting 133 more FTs then their opponents in the playoffs.
Yeah, the acting/flop calls that the Heat got, and and the bullshit technical on Gibson were the difference in the game. The bulls outplayed them in every other respect. The thing I take solace from is that this Heat should be around for a while barring a CBA with a restrictive cap that forces them to break it up. And when the bulls do take that next step and defeat them, and they will, it will be so sweet.
And as far as criticizing Rose goes, I think it is very fair to say he's the reason the bulls lost the series. He's also the reason they got to the conference finals, and being the reason a team loses in the conference finals, especially because it was based entirely on his lack of experience, is not really a bad thing for a 22 year old. Next year, when he knows how to pump fake and draw a foul, when he isn't trying to out jump or sprint past everybody, and when he realizes that he can't run the same play the same way in the last minute of a game as he did the previous 15 times, this team won't be choking double digit leads in the fourth quarter. No matter who the SG is.
Are you kidding me? It's Rose's fault? Noah/Boozer aren't even good enough to play at the end of the game, but it's Rose's fault. Was it Jordan's fault when the Bulls lost in the playoffs before they won it?
Did Noah or Boozer miss those FT's in the last two games that would have either tied or put the team ahead? Was it Noah or Boozer who fouled Wade on a three pointer to give him a four point play? Would Noah or Boozer be the one to take the last shot? It's always going to come down to what Rose does. The bulls were in a position to win and Rose had the ball in his hands and he didn't get it done. That's why all the talk about who the SG is is so silly. Until Rose runs the play to set that SG up for an open shot to win the game, it's a moot point. That's the next step Rose has to take. He isn't to the point yet where we can even talk about whether it was Noah or Boozer who blew it.
Plus-29 Miami’s advantage in free-throw attempts for the series. Though the Bulls shot fewer free throws, they managed to miss 5 more than the Heat. http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20110526/sports/705269760/print/
I really respect the Bulls but I don't understand some of the complaints. Miami has LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, you really couldn't ask for players that are better at getting to the line. Unless you want to throw in Prime Shaq and maybe Dwight Howard. Then after that Bosh is single covered in the series, they're going to get some calls and you barely won in the regular season. They were on the road too. Anyway congrats on the foundation you guy have set up, a pretty nice core that will get better. And your defense is impressive.
That's ridiculous. We can't look at the supporting cast or the coaching till our best player proves to be an all-time great and we still lose. No thanks.
And, you know what, I don't have to be hard on Rose. He is hard enough on himself. Deng, too. And they are the only 2-way players we have right now. What the hell are Noah and Boozer going to do be better.
