<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Tim Thomas Leaves Suns For Clippers 1st July, 2006 - 6:38 pm East Valley Tribune - Tim Thomas will spurn the team that gave him a second chance in order to join the L.A. The deal is speculated to be for four years at the mid-level exception totalling $24 million. [READ]</div> Tim Thomas found his sucker team, the Clippers. Not a big contract but Tim Thomas will go back to being the dope he's always been. Tim Thomas has now made $90 million dollars in his career in the league.

Haha, knew it. Not sure if I like this move for the Clippers but it does seem that they're willing to spend.

Does anyone see how much this hurts Phoenix? Thomas was huge for them this year, and they will miss his scoring

You can throw any decent talent in there and they will do well...They have a lot of injured players coming back, they will be fine.

Thank God, now maybe some of the Phoenix fans that keep saying the team's so stacked that they're going to win 82 games and put up the first 200 point game will shut up for a second.Ha, that reminds me of the 03-04 Mavs...

This is a very good signing for the Clippers. Thomas is a guy who can play both the three and four. He is also very lenky, and a good three point shooter. The Clippers look like a team on the rise in the West.

Every teams dream player, not to mention his wonderful attitude and work ethic.

No...it's a loss but we wouldn't have needed him if Kurt Thomas was healthy for the playoffs. I wish he would've stayed because I liked him but the Suns will be fine. They will find some free agent who will produce just as much, maybe with a little more defense. You look at Matt Harpring and his stats were similar to Thomas' and he should be better in our offense with Nash. I would rather have gotten rid of Tim Thomas than any other player that may have left instead(Kurt, Marion, Jones).

Every team can say that though. "Oh, we would've won the West, but Stackhouse was injured at the beginning and Howard missed a lot of time." Injuries happen, and are going to happen. Losing depth hurts. (And I really don't think the Suns will have the money to resign Diaw and then get Harpring.)

Diaw will still have that small contract, his extension will kick in in 2 years at which time they hopefully can find a good Marion trade. The Suns have plenty of money right now for 2 more free agents. They were planning on spending money on Thomas and a point guard and I think they can get Harpring for les than what they were going to give Thomas.I'm not making excuses. I'm saying if we had Kurt back in the playoffs we really wouldn't need Thomas. We will have Kurt back for next season. This isn't a huge loss at all. The Suns aren't going to lose any depth.

They already have Ross, andn Maggette, but still not a bad signing. We've seen how THomas can stretch the defense apart and contribute offensively. He will spark them for points, when needed.

The Clippers lost Vlad to the Lakers I think so Tim Thomas takes his place. Same type of player. I think it's a good signing for the Clips.

Good use of the MLE by Clips who had a great draft as well. This should be a sign though Clips aren't looking at just one year in the playoffs, so Sam should follow suit even though I don't feel he's a priority. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Suns have plenty of money right now for 2 more free agents.</div> Aren't you over the cap? You basically have what every team in the NBA has really. The MLE, LLE and vet min.

Yes you are right Rok, my mistake. That should be enough for Harpring and Hunter. Not great but i'll be fine with that. The Suns are relying on Amare either way. [IMG]
