I looked at 7 top mocks today and here is their consensus for our pick. If there is a number in (), then that's the number of sites who chose the same player. After that, I show how that other player is seen by the other sites. In some cases the other sites do not have a second round listed so there may not be 7 for each player. For those who list both rounds, but not that player, I list them as 'undrafted'. Any draft potion past 30 is the second round.

    Davis Bertans- PF, 30, 30, 20, 29, 46, 29

    Kenneth Faried (2)- PF, 22, 17, 24, 25, 18, 17

    Nikola Vucevic- C, 40, 25, 23, 25, 45

    Jordan Hamilton- SG, 20, 13, 14, 19, 22

    Nikola Mirotic- C, 38, undrafted, 11, undrafted, 39

    JaJuan Johnson- PF, 31, 40, 34, 29, 33

Clearly, unless Hamilton drops to #21, everyone sees us drafting a big, which makes sense. The Mirotic pick is strange as he undrafted on two boards and #11 on another.

I don't even think Mirotic is in this year's draft.

    Oops, nevermind. I'm wrong.

That just may happen. The two euros are Dirk clones and he's the player de jour right now.

Outside of the top 2-4 picks or so, I'd say the real value of this draft is about where we are drafting. I think teams in the mid to late lotto, up until around us ro before, there's a bunch of guys I think are over rated, but I think there are plenty of solid players in this draft late 1st and early second.

yeah there is no real consensus from 7-30 lol so we might be able to nab a nice player if we scout correctly

I'm going for Faried if I'm the Blazers. Good rebounders, especially with his gaudy numbers, tend to have productive NBA careers.

We're looking for role players. Reserves. Those are always around at 21.

I would honestly trade up to get Faried. I think he is the perfect backup PF for us and is going to have a great career.

I think it's a sure fire way to mediocrity to use the draft to fill back up roles for young all-star caliber players alreay at that position. Now unless Portland is going to use LA more at center...a lot more. Portland really needs an upgrade at PG, SG and C. But I also understand best player available

The problem with a weak draft is that there are 20 other teams trying to do the same...
