    If they have been deemed by a licensed psychologist & therapist that they have a gender identity issue, then why not? If you have other psychological disorders and there are treatments for it why not have them covered? Costly drugs & exotic treatments like electroshock are used on people who have clinical depression or schizophrenia.

    That should probably change too. This is indeed a psychological issue & should probably be covered by private insurance. Most private insurance doesn't give a crap about your dental, vision or mental health though...
