Nationwide Series points leader Elliott Sadler has filed suit against former employer Richard Petty Motorsports for failure to pay past salary owed. The suit was filed on Tuesday in the North Carolina Superior Court in Concord, N.C. Sadler is seeking $10,000 in damages for breach of contract, $10,000 to prevent the defendant's unjust enrichment and $10,000 or more to be determined at a trial based on unfair and/or deceptive trade practices.
