I am battling another case of insomnia, so I'm checking out this show called "Red Eye" that my friends on the West Coast swear by. It is hilarious. They just covered Weinergate and I haven't laughed that hard in ages. If this show replays on the web it's worth catching this segment.
You mentioned it a while ago, I checked it out and thought it was great. However, I completely forgot about it because I'm not usually watching TV this late unless it's a recording. I was scanning the channels and came across it again. It's freaking hilarious; just my type of humor. The Weinergate story was priceless.

No, I think he's batshit bonkers. Anyhow, a man who reportedly seeks to be the next mayor of New York City joking about Al Qaeda being involved in his perverted fetish has seriously bad judgement.
Here is what I really think happened. Weiner follows both Gennette Cordova and porn star Ginger Lee on Twitter. Weiner probably sends sexts to Ginger Lee, as her Tweeting history tends to show (she's Tweeted that she receives DMs from Weiner before this happened). Weiner was feeling a bit horny over the weekend, got all hot and bothered, and took another photo for Ms. Lee. Problem is, he was either drunk, stoned, or just an idiot, and he sent the message to Gennette Cordova, with a public tag, instead of Ginger Lee with a private tag. Once it came to surface, he either had to confess to his wife that he trades lewd photos with a professional whore, or that somebody "hacked" his account, including his cell phone, and possibly his Facebook account as well. So, once the first lie is told, and he realized it would mean that the authorities would get involved, he's played the game of being snarky, belligerent, above it all, or confused, and his statements sound more idiot each time he opens his mouth. Dude should just confess and stop baiting the people who are giving him the chance to come clean. Instead, he mocks them, which only furthers the media's resolve to find out what happened. It's just unbelievably stupid by Weiner.
Whether you think he's crazy or not doesn't impact whether he is, objectively, joking. I think that it's obvious to anyone who listens to that clip that he's kidding. Ed O.
It's not necessary to believe he's lying to think that he's not working the media very well. I think it's MOST likely that he had a pic that he sent back before he was married and someone sent it out after hacking his Facebook. He doesn't want to admit anything, but he didn't do anything actually wrong and doesn't want to give more fuel to the fire by overstating anything. He's not being very smart about how it's all coming out, that's for sure. Still this is something that's a sideshow to me and it's hard to take it at all seriously. Ed O.
