That would make the warriors kind of scary. A lot of offensive power off the bench to replace Monte too.
    Curry
    Andre
    Wrigt
    Lee

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Curry/Iguodala would be a pretty awesome backcourt. Great deal for Golden State if it happens, IMO.

Makes no sense for Philly. They already have one ball-dominating guard in Holiday, and they want to open up room for Turner. If they trade Iggy, I think it will be either for salary relief or a decent big, neither which is accomplished with this trade.

Are any of you guys saying how good GS would be the same people who said Iggy sucks, and would rather have Matthews?

I used to want Iguodala until I saw him lay bricks in the playoffs. Dude makes Gerald Wallace look like Glen Rice.

I'd like to get in on Monta Ellis though. The Blazer need scoring in the worst possible way and he is an elite scorer. Andre + Matthews for him would give the Warriors a lot of cost savings.

Iguodala is not a scorer. He can be one in spurts, but if a team relies on him primarily to make baskets, he is not your guy.

OTOH, he's probably the best wing defender in the NBA (yes, even considering LeBron). He's also really athletic in the fast break, and can run the pick and roll efficiently. If used properly, Iggy is one of the best SGs in the game. They ask way too much from him in Philly.

I like Iggy, but I think Monta Ellis is a bigger need for us. Plus, Iggy choked in the Ice Cream Sundae eating contest, and was simply dominated by a more determined Greg Oden.

Hmm..."fast break?" "Pick and Roll?" What are these things you speak of?

Would Nate "use him properly" or ask him to be a jump shooter, which he isn't?

I doubt the Blazers would have their typical 6-minute scoring droughts in the playoffs with this guy on the roster.

We don't have a player as good on the offensive side of the ball as this kid. We sure have a need though!!!!

I actually agree with you, but just to play devil's advocate:
Ellis is sort of a poor man's Allen Iverson, and Jrue Holliday is sort of a rich man's Eric Snow, so they can sort of recreate the backcourt of Philly's last finals team! (Seriously: Ellis is a small SG, so you need to pair him with a tall PG, and Holliday is almost 6'5".)

    And neither would their opponents!

Actually, you might want to check Ellis' stats the one time the Warriors made it to the playoffs. It was their miracle upset of the Mavs... and Ellis was a total no-show. (Yes he was young, but he'd already shown himself to be a flashy scorer in the regular season.)

Iggy is twice the player Ellis is. Ellis is the Shareef Abdur-Rahim of guards. Iggy's like Scottie Pippen without a jump shot.

(Seriously: use Basketball Reference to check out Iguodala head-to-head against your fave wing scorer just to see what he does.)

The Blazer didn't abuse him when I saw him play at the RG on April 5th. In fact he dropped 30 while Roy/Miller/Matthews COMBINED for 34.

Yeah, like Dennis Rodman. Shame the Bulls were stuck with that loser or they might've really done something.

great deal for GS if they make it. I'd like Ellis here. Don't get the fit in Philadelphia.
