    He barely had support in the GOP polls. The real news is that several of his top guys were Rick Perry's guys, and this may signal that he's going to get in the race.

    Perry would quickly become the favorite, IMO.

    Yeah, I think Perry would have a good shot at the nomination.

    And being governor of Texas - well, that's pretty much the best preparation you can get. I wonder if Mr. Perry has read "The Pet Goat"?

    Gingrich intended to follow much the same strategy that Giuliani followed in 2008, picking and choosing states and not being willing to campaign everywhere.

    I also think that this is an indication that Gov. Perry is considering a run.
