Even though Derek Fisher wanted Brian Shaw to be the Lakers head coach, he has been one of the few players to publicly support Mike Brown and on Thursday the two had dinner together, reports Ramona Shelburne of ESPNLosAngeles.com According to Shelburne, the point guard and coached discussed the Lakers poor run in the playoffs and the type of offense and defense that should be implemented. Fisher has had several conversions with Brown and that should continue up until the end of the month when the owner could lockout the players. At that point, Fisher, the NBPA president will only be talking with the owners about the new collective bargaining agreement. Source: ESPNLA
Brown: Dude, you sucked during the regular season, even more so in the playoffs. Can you come off the bench next season? Fisher: Are you blind? Do you know who i am? Start me during every game... or else ill tell Kobe. Brown: Ok ok, relax... i was only kidding.
And we thought Fisher was bad in the playoffs ... "Of the 1,166 times in NBA history that a player has played 400 minutes in a postseason, Bibby's 3.6 PER ranks dead-last."
