Modern Warfare 2. (There is an option to skip 'the controversial level' but it's not that bad in terms of blood and swearing.) Fallout: New Vegas (this game is HUGE and FUN. But it also has some blood and gore, which might be too much for your kids). Battlefield Bad Company 2. Red Dead Redemption. It's great. One of the best games out there.
I've heard Socom is garbage these days, go for the Battlefield games. As for Splinter Cell, pick this up when it comes out, it's the old ones in hd. http://www.amazon.com/Clancys-Splin...YVO8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1307843831&sr=8-1
HCP, just wait until BATTLEFIELD 3 comes out this Fall. You can ride in tanks, helicopters, play as soldiers, etc. It's the full experience. i didnt really like red dead, seemed a little too unrealistic to me, i thought it would be a little more gritty, basically gta on horseback, so it turned into hours of travel time in between some cool shooting parts. and picking flowers.
the picking of flowers was lame yes, but other than that it was a perfect game for me. It had the edge to it, but not the over the top edge like GTA became about. Everytime I play it I want to own a ranch and live off the fat o the land.
I have asked on here before. Wondering how downloading a video game from Vuze or Demonoid works. Obviously I know how to figure out how to use mp3s and movies, but have never tried a game for my PS3. Somebody has to know.
The last shooting video game I played was Wolfenstein, back in 1993-1994. With the real thing just out my back door anytime I want here in Beautiful Central Oregon, virtual shooting fails to interest.
