It seems like everyone from the 2003 draft is signing extensions and it doesn't look like any major/young FA's will be hitting the market anytime soon. With the signing of Radmanovic and possibly Banks do you think this is what the Lakers are going to do for now on? Sign nice roleplayers to long deals to help Kobe?

Pipe theory could be that lakers will sign shammond williams to tempt Kg away from minny. You see, Evans is Kg's best friend and williams is Kg's first cousin [IMG]

i think they need a player to just break down the defense and then pass like j kidd, it would really help the lakers expand as a team and grow, they are pretty young they could use a couple of veterans

Odom is their other star player, so yes, they have to sign more role players, and experienced NBA players and also get Odom more incorporated into the offense on a regular basis. They need to sign guys that can hand out 12 ppg and play good defense like the Kobe/Shaq Laker teams with guys like Harper, Fox and even Gary Payton to help out. Guys that no what it takes to be succesful, and to win, and guys that will play D and help out the team in various, small ways that are effective to fill the big puzzle. With a market like L.A. and with the teams' management and reputation it wont be hard to sign these kinds of players.

In my opinion, their draft pick in Jordan Farmar was intelligent. He's not only a good learner, but a quick learner as well. He also has talent, and he is a pure, young, point guard. The Lakers do not need Marcus Banks, what they need is the veteran in Sam Cassell right now. The Lakers should have Cassell on their #1 priority list right now and give him a lot of their remaining MLE to sign him. He can help develop the Lakers' young point guards Jordan Farmar, Smush Parker, and Sasha Vujacic (he also plays SG, but w/e) Also, I think they should trade Chris Mihm for a center that's tougher, more durable, a better defender, and has been in the league for at least 4-5 years.

And by this 4-5 year veteran, young, tough, durable center with good defense, who exactly do you have in mind. Those guys aren't exactly a dime a dozen in the NBA anymore. They're fine at center anyways, Kwame will play it. If they trade Mihm, then the top priorities should be a point guard, then if possible, a power forward.
