To me it's a no brainer. I think you right off all the traditional stats and his defense and just look at Gordon's ability to get stupid hot. Gordon will win you ten to fifteen games in the regular season on his own by dropping 30, and two or three games in the playoffs. You bring him off the bench and live with the mediocre skills on the days when he's not on, and then feed him relentlessly when he's hitting. You let Ben be Jason Terry. It's all about how much you have to give up, I suppose.
I don't know about Gordon anymore. He was great for us, but suffered nagging injuries the past couple of seasons. His PER has declined 3 straight seasons. He may really hate the idea of coming back, considering how quick he was to sign the first offer that came his way. On the other hand... Thibs knows him too well. Gordon torched the Celtics in the playoffs when Thibs was asst. there. While his stats have declined, he's clearly still a capable scorer and very effective 3pt shooter. He's played a bunch at PG for Detroit, and was a pass first guy in that role. I bet we could get him for Boozer, but we lose his offense and rebounding. Especially post play, which would be a big step back, IMO. Some package of lesser players might get it done, CBA wise, but why does Detroit do it?

Gordon asked Bulls for that deal after they pulled it at their self-imposed deadline. They never offered him that type of money again.
Bulls FO should be on the phone around the clock figuring out something with Houston. Seems like something should work.
I was a big advocate for acquiring Lee at the deadline but I think you have to view him in context. The guy just finished his third season in which he averaged 8 points a game. Lee struggles just as much as Bogans when trying to create off the dribble. I thought he would be a marginal upgrade that would give the team a little boost going into the playoffs. If you're looking for a long term fix, I think you have to aim higher.
I'd rather have syphillus than trade Asik as a principal for Peggy Lee. Fuck me is that all we can do ?
I'd also be down for : 1. Boozer in a sign and trade for Rip and Prince 2. Deng for Ellis 3. CJ , Kyle Korver , both 1st round picks , and the Charlotte pick for OJ Mayo and Shane Battier ( who would need to agree sign and trade at around $3M per 4. Sign Jeff Foster at the vets minimum to replace Uncle Kurt 5. Bring Uncle Kurt back for sentimentality 6. Dequan Cook for the minimum as the situational shooter. I suggested we get him before we signed Korver. We also could have signed Wesley Matthews, but that's 20/20 hindsight. If we'd have done either of those moves, we probably wouldn't be talking about making any trades this offseason.

Would you do Noah for Bosh? We'd have Bosh, Boozer, Taj, Asik, Thomas to fill the PF/C positions. Seems like guys like Thomas are easy to find, and aren't a big cap hit. We might be in good position to deal Boozer for a good SG, too.
Bosh doesnt rebound enough for me. and FJ trading Boozer would give us NO low post presence, we would essentially morph back into the teams before we signed him.
