The sentimentality for TUF winners seems to only last so long. Kendall Grove, 28, who was dummied by Tim Boetsch at UFC 130 for his second loss in as many fights, has been released by the UFC (according to Grove via Facebook). Grove won season three of the reality series The Ultimate Fighter which earned him a multi-fight deal with the promotion. The infamous distinction puts Grove in the same category as other cut TUF winners Travis Lutter (season four) and Efrain Escudero (season eight). Grove's UFC record is a respectable 7-6. Makes you wonder if there were any mitigating factors.
I'm thinking he was on the hot seat ever since he made those remarks about Spike TV. I don't remember exactly when he made the comments, but it was some time last year. I'm still surprised James Wilks has a job in the UFC, I think he has by far been the worst of the winners.
