http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303823104576391734272507462.html Why does our media work so hard to erase the link between acts of terrorism and Islam? They couldn't wait to tie Timothy McVeigh to Christianity, but Nidal Malik Hasan shouting "Allahu Akbar!" while firing his weapon at Fort Hood is too tenuous to make a connection. Denial of facts is its own kind of bigotry. We're at war, and the roots of that war stems from a violent ideology. Furthermore, that ideology is done in the name of a so-called "religion of peace" that can't seem to distance itself from these acts of violence. Of course, terrorist acts in the name of Islam are few and far between...only four or five a day around the world. http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/index.html#Attacks
That's a good question. I think the answer is that no body cares if Christians are blamed as a whole for the acts of a few people who are clearly non Christian, but maintaining they act in the name of God. By their very acts they prove they are actually atheists. But we are dare not make the same mistake with Muslims. Taking the acts of some people claiming to be Muslims and then attaching it to all Muslims is as taboo as NOT taking acts of non Christians and attaching it to Christianity. Such is the true double standard of a highly liberal news media. But I also think that people with so much as a shred of decency and the ability to think outside what they are told to believe know the truth.
