Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno retained his WBA bantamweight title with an easy, one-sided win over Venezuela's Lorenzo Parra in Panama City tonight, claiming victory when Parra pulled out of the fight after eight rounds with an injury. Moreno (31-1-1, 11 KO) had no trouble handling the former flyweight titlist Parra (31-3-1, 18 KO), as the challenger barely fought at all, staying at distance and forcing Moreno into an unusual role of aggressor, which didn't work much to entertaining, but made for an easy night's work for the Panamanian titlist. The 32-year-old Parra simply didn't seem very interested in the fight, and could only possibly have argued for winning the third of the eight rounds.
