73 - Omar Daley in for Luton Shelton. Shelton had one to forget. Daley is another midfielder. 73 - Jones appears to have some discomfort in the groin. Hasn't motioned off, but Bradley needs to think about getting Edu in there for him. Would be a shame as Jones has been a beast today. 75 - And just a moment later, Edu enters for Jones. Hope its nothing serious for Jones.
76 - Donovan springs a counter attack, but his pass is angled wrong for Kljestan. It curved back into him, forcing him to slow down and he got run over from behind. The ball found its way to Agudelo and the ref called another questionable advantage as Agudelo was going away from the goal and out of the 18. He was able to force a Jamaican defender to send it right to Edu after giving it away. Edu's shot was ripped wide. 78 - The match seems to have opened up a lot since Edu came in just a few minutes ago. Still nothing dangerous for Jamaica as they have Johnson going it alone in the middle. US has been one pass away from a one on one with Rickets a couple of times now. 79 - Donovan gets sprung in on the counter, but is engulfed by the on rushing Rickets. Donovan plays a one two with Dempsey as a Jamaican defender goes into the goal, while Rickets is outside of the 18. Donovan plays himself off-side as Rickets caught him in the rare keeper-executed offside trap. 80 - GOAL - Dempsey with the assist from Agudelo. Agudelo and Dempsey both go in behind the defense. Agudelo plays a cross to Dempsey who was parked atop the six. Rickets played for the one-time shot. Dempsey takes a calm one touch around him and scores on a wide open net. Rickets couldn't get to the cross so attempted the only play he had a chance at and Dempsey took a simple touch around him.
85 - Ryan Johnson and Michael Bradley are sharing words. Not quite sure what caused that, but the ref is quick to make it stop. Bradley walks on, while Johnson is still jawing at him. 86 - Another replay of the Dempsey goal and it was Donovan who played Agudelo in for the cross. 88 - US going for a third. Donovan finds Dempsey who tries to play in Bradley, but its cut out by one of the Daleys currently in for Jamaica.
90 - Another run in as Kljestan is in on goal, but slightly offside. Edu held it just a moment too long as the off-side trap was coming. Would have been an easy give and go for an Edu goal with Rickets coming out. 90 - Omar Daley blasts a shot down low on forcing a save from Howard. However there was a foul called negating the save. Replay shows the ref missed a handball by Lichaj in the box. No red card for it, but Jamaica would have had a penalty kick. 90+ - Two minutes of stoppage time. I'd like to see the US just retain possession and squash the end of this match. Looks like they're still going for a goal though.
90+ - Edu wins a free kick on a dubious fall. Edu went down easy. Free kick will probably end the match and will be taken by Dmepsey about 35 yards out. Rickets saves, but bobbles a rebound down for Agudelo. Rickets gets to hit before Agudelo can make it three. Ref blows for full time before Rickets can send it out. US with the well deserved win as they dominated this match. Rickets showed up to play for Jamaica and Dane Richards was a threat in the first half, but there was just nothing going on for them in the second half and it was made more complicated by the red card for Jermaine Taylor. Rickets was terrific making several great saves and keeping this one from being a laugher. Univision gives Rickets man of the match, but I'll go with Jermaine Jones who scored the winner and dominated the middle of the pitch today. Bedoya and Kljestan were also terrific for the US, as was Dempsey who appeared to be much more on it than he was during his terrible day against Guadeloupe at the end of the group stage.
