This will hurt our picks and further experience with Babbitt, A.Johnson, etc.

Whenever the season actually starts, I hope the Blazers will take full advantage of the D League are get Babbit, Johnson, Williams and any of this year's picks as much PT as possible - hopefully, together. It's not the same as NBA playing time (which they won't be getting much of anyway), but it's about as good as summer league (maybe better) - especially if they are playing together. None of these are immediate impact guys. They all need more experience and they won't get much riding the pine with the Blazers. Might as well ship them off to Idaho and at least get on the court.

What's stopping an entrepeneur from forming a league? If done right, he could make a profit. Players would play for free, pay for their own Motel 6 rooms, and drive there themselves. Scouts, agents, and media would buy tickets to get in. Sell sponsorships and put logos all over the place. Players contract to plug the sponsors.

Are the Las Vegas and Orlando leagues private companies? Despite withdrawal of NBA subsidies, what's stopping them from attempting this?

Hey Denny, I have another great moneymaking idea for you. As I've said before, with your money and my brains, there's a lot of loot out there for us to split.

We'll need a clause protecting me from any losses. Cuban tells me he's interested. You better get in on the ground floor before he calls me back.

I think this is bullshit because they used to be put on independent of the league.

VSPL is likely where Greg hurt his knee. I look at this news as one less chance a Blazer prospect hurts his knee.

I thought the original article said Summer League in general was cancelled, but now it says it was only for Las Vegas. Did ESPN change this article after I read it? Or am I wrong. Impossible, so they must have changed it.

So will the Blazers field a team in Orlando?
