Thanks. Ya, I don't think so either. But should we be concerned about this delay in any news on the offer front?
Word is that they will wait until the 30th to make the qualifying offer... which is common for NBA teams to do (wait until the last minute, just in case something crazy happens... injury during rehab for example).
ESPN is already reporting we will give Oden the QO on the 30th and we'v been led to believe by the organization that is what we will do. I assume we will try and give him a long term contract with it, maybe 5 years 35 mill or 4 years 27-28 mill.
yeah, Buchanan said the other day that they've had preliminary talks, but wouldn't address the issue until after the draft.
All I can say with certainty is that all hell will break loose around here if they don't extend him the QO
I like that they are leaving all options open at this point. If there's no plan for offering a multi-year deal, I'd rather they just trade Oden for the best deal available leading up to the draft.
I think Nostradamus foretold of the failing to make the qualifying offer in this quatrain. Dirk Nowitski is the antichrist after beating the big 3. By failing to offer the QO, the Blazer become unbelievers and are decimated. The lockout will last 27 years or maybe Noiwtiski wins 27 championships in a row. After that... who knows?
I would be very happy to retain him for that amount! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk..... Cause I'm a balla'!
It's known that young Dirk first picked up a basketball 27 years before winning the championship. Stick it up your tapa-ass!
